GENESIS OF KV SAHARSA

                      Kv Saharsa was established in April 1996. It has the honour of being the

                first C.B.S.C affiliated school in the district in town area The school is

                temporarily running in Kucheri jail campus. It was inaugurated by the

                then Chief Minister Mr Lalu Prasad on 1-03-1997 in presence of other

                distinguished academicians and respectable citizens of Saharsa.

STATUS

              The K.V Saharsa is fortunate to have its  chairman Mr. R Lakshmanan. IAS,DM Saharsa.

              The school is operating in the existing premises with very limited infrastructure and resources

              without any hinderance to its academic objectives. Under modern education system, the

              computer education was introduced since the session 2001-02 The academic excellence has

               been maintained at par with other Kendriya Vidyalayas . The result of the first batch of xth

               board was outstanding. The highest percentage of marks obtained was 90.2% in the year 2002.

              In the last C.B.S.E board(session 2009-10) Gautam Krishna topped with  a result 9.8 ( AI)

              In the year 2002-03 the school’s academic performance (result class x) was the best in the

              Patna region. In the premises, a beautiful garden and lawn has been developed by the Vidyalaya

              administration. Presently school is marching ahead in academic as well as extra-curricular activities

              under dynamic and able leadership of our present principal, Mr.T.Vijayan.
